The University of Mississippi Department of Dermatology is an exciting new program dedicated to delivering top quality education in an encouraging environment while providing care to a diverse patient population. The mission statement of the Department (See Table 1) demonstrates the broad impact faculty and residents intend to make on the State of Mississippi and the entire region. As William Faulkner once said, “To understand the world, you must first understand a place like Mississippi.”
