Year in Review: 2025 Highlights From JDD

By December 22, 2025No Comments

Despite millennia of observation and modern understanding of HPV, treatment choices remain trade‑offs between efficacy, speed and tolerability

From the Editor-in-Chief

Dear Readers,
As we look back on 2025, one theme stands out: our field continues to evolve while staying rooted in the principles that have guided dermatology for generations. Across every issue of the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, our community shared research that deepened understanding, strengthened clinical practice, and pointed toward the next wave of innovation.

This year brought thoughtful work in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. We saw continued refinement of established therapies alongside new ideas in technology, ingredient science, and patient-centered care. What united these contributions was a shared commitment to practical progress and to improving the daily lives of patients.

Dermatology advances through steady, cumulative effort. Each study, each insight, each conversation brings us closer to clearer answers and better outcomes. That spirit of continual learning and grounded discovery remains at the heart of JDD’s mission.

Thank you for your trust and engagement throughout the year. It is a privilege to support the work you do and to help bring the voices of our specialty together. We look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead.

Warm regards,
Deborah S. Sarnoff MD
