FDA Approves Syneron Candela's PicoWay
The FDA has approved Syneron Candela’s PicoWay® picosecond
laser for the treatment of pigmented lesions. The PicoWay®
device previously received FDA clearance for the removal of
tattoos in November 2014 and was launched in the U.S. late
in the fourth quarter 2014. Syneron Medical Ltd. also recently
received Health Canada clearance of the PicoWay® picosecond
laser for the treatment of pigmented lesions and tattoo removal.
PicoWay® is a dual wavelength device, with 532nm and 1064nm
wavelengths, which utilizes proprietary PicoWay® technology to
generate picosecond pulses for the treatment of pigmented lesions
and tattoos of all colors.
