Did You Miss It?

Micronized isotretinoin is an established treatment for severe nodular acne, but can it be effectively dosed once daily instead of twice? A new pilot study explores this question, evaluating once-daily dosing without food in patients aged 12 and older.

The findings? Promising. Nearly all patients achieved complete clearance of nodules, with significant reductions in both inflammatory and noninflammatory lesions. While mild side effects were observed, treatment was well tolerated overall.

Could this approach improve patient compliance without compromising efficacy?
