Ten Years, One Live Celebration: Join the conversation

We were proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone at ODAC 2026, held January 16-19, 2026. It was a fitting place to honor ten years of the JDD’s podcast, Ask the Investigators with Dr. Adam Friedman, a well-celebrated benchmark for a show that has become essential listening across the dermatology community.

Over a decade and tens of thousands of listens, the JDD podcast has become a go-to source for smart, practical dermatology. Each episode finds Dr. Adam Friedman, a curious clinician and genial host, asking sharp questions, drawing out guests’ insights, and blending useful clinical pearls with warmth, wit, and a few laughs; his genuine charisma makes complex topics refreshingly approachable and keeps listeners coming back for a consistent mix of cutting-edge research and everyday clinical tips that balance rigor with accessibility.

To everyone who has listened, shared, or guested over the past ten years: Thank You! Your contributions have shaped a community of curious clinicians who learn from each other, laugh together, and continue to push dermatology forward. And to Dr. Friedman: congratulations on ten years of thoughtful, lively, and indispensable conversations. We can’t wait to see, and hear, what’s next.

About the 10th Anniversary Episode – Streaming Later in February!

For this 10th anniversary, the JDD podcast returns with a special live recording at ODAC: Part 2 of “Behind the Bottle,” hosted by Dr. Adam Friedman, featuring Dr. Peter Lio, and supported by Cetaphil. Building on the wildly popular first installment with Dr. Lio, this session once again pulls back the curtain on how clinicians can thoughtfully navigate the ever-expanding over-the-counter universe.
The anniversary episode focuses on two increasingly common yet frequently misunderstood conditions: sensitive skin syndrome and dermatoporosis. The conversation is dynamic and evidence-driven, dissecting the biology, clinical presentation, and real-world management challenges of sensitive skin syndrome, a state of cutaneous hyperreactivity often marked by stinging, burning, and barrier dysfunction. The discussion then shifts to the often-misused term dermatoporosis, the “osteoporosis of the skin,” highlighting its profound implications for an aging population, including fragility, tearing, and impaired wound healing.

In classic JDD fashion for this milestone episode, the podcast blends preclinical and clinical data, practical pearls, and Dr. Friedman’s signature style to help clinicians make smarter, more confident product recommendations and care decisions. With the added energy of a live ODAC audience, this episode delivers a timely, high-impact exploration of two conditions at the forefront of dermatologic practice.
We look forward to releasing the recording from the event later this month – stay tuned!
