Did You Miss It?

How does the roflumilast cream vehicle compare? For patients with inflammatory dermatologic conditions, a hydrating vehicle is key to improving the skin barrier without irritation. But how does the vehicle for topical roflumilast cream measure up against a well-known ceramide-containing moisturizer?

A study in JDD put them to the test in a 17-day, randomized, double-blind trial. Both formulations demonstrated significant improvements in transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and hydration, with no major differences between them after day one. Patient and investigator assessments also showed comparable results in efficacy, tolerability, and overall aesthetic appeal.

Could this vehicle be a game-changer in topical treatments?
