The article “Calculating the Thickness of the Superficial Fatty Layer”, which appeared in the Vol. 19, No. 1, January 2020 issue of JDD, contained restatements of the methodology applied (ultrasound imaging) from previously published manuscripts by our group.1,2,3,4 The purpose of this article was to present formulas derived from the results of the previous articles published by our group.1,2,3,4 We have made the decision to remove redundant descriptions and sharpen its focus on the presentation of the mathematic formulas and by omitting Figures 1 and 2 and Table 1.
