As the new co-editor-in chief of the JDD, I would like to introduce myself and express how fortunate I feel to fill this role. As the JDD enters its second decade, I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead. As a cosmetic dermatologist, laser surgeon, and Mohs surgeon, I hope to help lead the journal in publishing the latest technology and treatment advances in the field. Our readers and contributors will determine the evolution of the journal as we strive together to foster collaboration and communication to serve the dermatology community around the world.
We will continue to cover traditional issues of dermatologic care and have planned an outline of topics for the year ahead, which will include special topic issues on fillers and injectables, lasers and light sources, acne and rosacea, aesthetics, eczema, psoriasis, dermatologic surgery, and dermatoses. We hope to cover new challenges in treatment, new learning opportunities, emerging techniques, and drug development, and will cover new guidelines and recommendations from evidence- based medicine.
With our international alliance partners, we will continue to work together to build good collaboration and communication in our field and to promote the field through gathering our colleagues and our community together to discover how to solve problems and intervene to make a difference.
I look forward to working with you all in this new role!
