The Journal of Drugs in Dermatology(JDD) and the field of dermatology are now more international than
ever before.
This is due to both the popularization of international conferences, congresses and workshops as well as
to the growth of tele-dermatology and tele-medicine.
In addition, during the past year, JDD has worked to create an alliance with leading dermatologic societies.
I am pleased to report that this endeavor has been quite successful. JDD has initiated partnerships with
approximately 30 international dermatology societies and JDD's Senior Editors have agreed to make complimentary
journal e-subscriptions available to these societies' members.
We're thankful that so many societies have joined our international alliance, including:
Argentine Society of Dermatology
Caribbean Dermatology Association
Chilean Society of Dermatology and Venereology
Colombian Society of Dermatology
Dermatological Society of Thailand
Indonesian Society of Dermatology & Venereology
International Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ISDS)
International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery
Mexican Academy of Dermatology
North American Hair Research Society
Philippine Dermatological Society
Romanian Society for Aesthetic Medicine and Dermatologic Surgery
Slovak Dermatovenereological Society
Society of Dermatovenereology (Turkey)
Tunisian Society of Dermatology and Venereology
These partnerships, and ones being finalized as this issue goes to press, will not only provide JDD to
thousands of dermatologists practicing worldwide, but we are confident that it will also forge an exchange between international and American dermatologists.
It is our goal to reach 90 percent of dermatologists worldwide by the end of this year. This level of access
is a milestone in medicine and in dermatology.
