Abstract
Pæcilomyces lilacinus (P. lilacinus) is a saprophytic fungus with increasing prevalence as a source of infection in the immunosuppressed patient population. We report a P. lilacinus infection with a sporotrichoid pattern spreading in a renal transplant recipient that responded to itraconazole therapy. There was no recurrence at 3 years follow-up.
